Take a look at the way The Washington Post used the Web log format to supplement its extensive coverage of the inauguration Jan. 20 -- lots of street-level reporting, shoot-from-the-hip photos, on-the-fly audio, video clips, some sideways glances ...

It struck me as impressively nimble for a big, fat old-media institution like the Post. If I'm 20-something (which I'm so not) I can see myself listening to a late-night audio interview with 3 Doors Down even if I can't see myself reading the text of the prez's speech in print the next morning.
